⋆˚⋆୨୧˚La PosmoBaby˚୨୧⋆˚⋆ is the ethereal expression of Ximena Velázquez, a textile/audiovisual artist & DJ from Villahermosa, Tabasco. As a DJ, the artist explores sensuality and desire through the voices of powerful Hispanic femmes within pop, trap, reggaeton, dembow, and cumbia mixed with trance, techno, club edits, and tribal. Her sets are deeply influenced by her upbringing in southeast Mexico and her travels across the world.
La Posmobaby is the creator, curator, and host of Caricias, a monthly radio show celebrating baddies; and co-founder of Gateo, a Latinx collective that curates parties for lezzies, femmes, putxs, gatas, trans bbs, maricxs and frikis, and puts at the center the underground Spanish-speaking community in the city. Additionally, she is a community organizer and facilitates DJ workshops to uplift emerging talent.
